Unbefreakinglievable Wingnuttery w/pics and poll!

I had two experiences today that upset and worried me about the November election. I had a brief conversation with my neighbor in the business park where I work about Exxon's amoral profit-mongering, at $1,500 per freaking second!
The first thing out of my neighbor the plumber's mouth was, "I hope the Democrats get off their asses and start letting the oil companies drill new wells."
I provided the typical Kossack reality check for him and shortly after left work for my 67 mile commute home. I saw a Prius with an unbelievable bumper sticker. Jump below to behold.
Beavers Relieve WaterDogs From SoCal Drought w/pics!
Sun May 06, 2007 at 06:25:59 PM PDT
I have three dogs whom I love and I take their health and well-being seriously. I take them hiking regularly, particularly to creeks and lakes whenever feasible. This winter in SoCal was the driest I can remember in my 48 years. I've been taking them to Deep Creek canyon outside of Hesperia because at 15 miles, it's the closest "legal" water I can access. I decided a month ago to take them one last time to Deep Creek, being certain that the water level had dropped to mere inches. To my suprise, once I hiked past the spillway a couple hundred feet, I came upon a beaver dam that was up to five feet deep and more than one hundred yards long that boasted an aquatic ecology practically unheard of in SoCal. Follow me over the dam, the water's fine.

I had a beautiful moment on my way home this afternoon with 2 twenty-something wingnuts. First the setup. I live in the hills above Apple Valley, CA. My rep is Jerry (Hookers & Bribes) Lewis. Two of my nearest neighbors had Bush/Cheney yard signs. Join me below the fold.
